Things to do when you're tired:
- Phone a friend and ask them to tell you a story.
- Walk your dog and let them pull you around a bit, get you moving.
- Read a book that knocks your socks off - but be sure you're reading in a chair, not in bed!
- Take a dance party break. Can I recommend Olivia Rodrigo's new song? Don't let the slower start fool you!
- Clean up one stack from your office floor. File the papers, recycle the stuff. Feels so good.
- Take 5 books to a Little Free Library.
- Write a postcard. I love these so much. Each one is a boost, a glimmer, a micro joy.
- Take a nap. (I wish!!!)
I hope you take a long hot bath and get some rest! That kind of June tired is a drain on all systems!
ReplyDeleteI love your list! So honest and also original. Let a friend tell you a story, let your dog pull you- good reminders that when we haven’t got it, others can help. I also love the idea of writing a postcard- you take care of yourself by kindness to others, too.
