This Is Just to Say: https://poets.org/poem/just-say
A writing prompt blog encouraged us to take a picture of where we write, and OMG, I can't believe I'm posting this here. My office has gotten out of control. It is contained to this one room, but GOODNESS, I need a clean-up date with myself.
So mashing up that idea (Where do you write?) with one of my favorite apology poems, I present today's Slice.

I bought the folders
and made a list;
procured bins on sale
and scheduled time on my calendar.
Those new folders are buried;
the list is misplaced, I think under this pile, or that one.
The bins are filled with so many other things
just like those hours on my calendar.
Forgive me.
I know I'm stacking
too high
and too many days in a row.
Sadly, I can so relate to this. I am a piler, too. It looks like you have a clear path to the desk; right now, that is all that is needed!
ReplyDeletehahaha, Leigh Ann!!! I really, really hope to get myself together and post another picture before March is over!
DeleteLife is funny this way! I can tell how "regulated" my brain is by the state of my desk, which currently has several piles that are leaning toward chaos :) Luckily, I have a partner who has no qualms about removing books or "for memory's sake" items out of our house. Unluckily, that does not apply to his stuff, especially his electronics/tech things. He has cabinets with doors to hide everything :)
