- Eating peanut butter & celery, which I only seem to make every 4 years; recognizing, yet again, what a fabulous treat this is; committing, yet again, to snacking on it more often
- A friend recommending this podcast and me excitedly anticipating learning the "history and strategy" of Trader Joe's, one of my favorite places to shop
- Eating a piping hot bowl of pho with freshly torn basil and a big squeeze of lime, creating just the right pep to balance out the rich broth and endless tangle of noodles
- Ordering the PERFECT gift for someone - wait, not just ordering it, but ordering it on time, and it arriving on time, and packing it up the night before, ready to surprise a friend defending her dissertation *today*
- Scheduling a call with one of my daughter's friends, a brilliant, reflective human who is thinking through a big decision and wants to connect; feeling the honor of being in this young person's life
- Having gas in the car when you're starting a road trip, so heading right to the highway (with your Trader Joe's podcast playing and a tupperware filled with celery sticks & peanut butter)
This is the super-fun pouch I am bringing for all the amazing folks coming to my friend's "you just got your doctorate!" dinner in Chicago tonight
(Tomorrow, I'll post her present!)
