Sunday night, 11:25 pm
Not enough "work" finished today, but a wonderful family dinner with two of my nephews, their fiancés (yes, two weddings of two brothers coming up in 2026 and 2027!), my parents, my aunt, my brother & sister in law. Texts got us all organized, last minute, to gather for an early dinner. I did my part and baked brownies at 9:00 this morning!
Something special about gentle teasing, full tables, talking over each other, passing the crescent rolls (my brother's favorite!).
Something special about hearing wedding plans, hearing job updates, hearing pet updates, too!
Something special about complimenting the hosts, hugging goodbye, knowing we will all be together in June.
My work may not be done, but my heart is loaded up with these memories, and that's the very best way to start the week.
