My parents have been married 61 years today. They are such role models - individually, and in their partnership. The ripples of their love extend far beyond our family, and I'm grateful we'll be spending the weekend together. Here are 61 words to celebrate their anniversary, inspired by this picture (which my mom posted on Facebook and which I've never seen til today!):
Daisies make a down to earth and joyful bouquet. They may be ordinary flowers, but gather them in a bunch and see! When we are simple and true, stay together, keep in community, we are beautiful. Gather them in a bunch and smile at their spirit, filling us with possibility, whispering to us, "Spring is here, and we are so alive."

ReplyDeleteMy mom doesn't even remember who took it, but I'm sure glad it exists.
