I almost let another Tuesday go by, but then I remembered, writing is a habit, and I need to work these muscles (and every time I do, it makes me happy!).
A very very full Tuesday, full of two's:
Two snoozes to the alarm before getting up at 6:30 to write and submit testimony about Ohio's budget (which is TOO terrible to go into here).
Two meals finished for friends fighting sickness (and gratitude to my husband for doing one of the drop-offs!).
Two slices of the most amazing banana bread - the first time I've ever made homemade banana bread, using a recipe from Smitten Kitchen. Her recipes are simply a joy to read, so it's like a mentor text modeling + cooking.
Two coaching calls that were productive, even though it's May (if you know, you know!).
Two strangers who said hello after a school board meeting, and now, two new folks to collaborate with. YES for saying hello!
Two takes to make a joyful video to convince friends, neighbors and strangers to sign a petition to fight SB 1.
And away from those twos:
60 minutes at a Rainbow Fest, feeling all the joy & energy (and hormones) of being with GSA students from Cleveland, who were celebrating their fullness
0 minutes cooking dinner, since my husband whipped up a Hello Fresh that included baked chicken and mashed potatoes
5 minutes eating a third slice of banana bread - it's THAT GOOD!
20 minutes putting pen to paper to start, finish and post this Slice. (Now - how many minutes 'til bedtime?!)
It's bedtime now! I appreciated the reappearance of the banana bread! And you're a good advertisement for Hello Fresh!
ReplyDeleteAnd that banana bread will probably be gone today :)
