Small moments from the morning

* My graham cracker melting into my coffee cup - I didn't dunk it fast enough and it gracefully slipped to the bottom, where I ate the remnants after finishing the hot milky sugary coffee that I definitely needed this morning.

* Crafting a resource email - gathering some of my favorite sites and readings for a newer higher ed manager who is also planning an important summer retreat for over 60 college-aged researchers. I really like curating resources and I especially loved the chance to share Priya Parker's work and her recent posts on starting meaningful gatherings with magical questions. (Explore them here!)

* An unexpected Zoom with a bestie - she needed Google calendar TLC, and we stretched the tech call into a 20 minute catch-up on camera (we talk via phone all the time, but she was hysterically still in her PJs!), with a few much-needed laughs; her good energy spilled into my day.

* Getting things done - I'm traveling next week and finally, FINALLY got to canceling some standing coaching meetings that I've known I needed to move. It felt so good to see them clicking off my calendar and our special trip now feels much more real.

Timer just went off, so I need to post and read YOUR small moments, fellow Slicers. I can't believe it's March 27 - so glad we've been on this writerly journey together!

Look at all the white space!!!

  2. These small moments sound absolutely restorative. Thanks for sharing the resources, especially Priya Parker. I didn't know her! Zoom chats with friends/colleagues do a lot for me, too. (I try not to stay in my pajamas, but I love that!) Have safe travel on your "special trip."
