I do not like/I like

(note dropped off for a friend who lost her job at the Dep't of Ed yesterday)

I do not like Slicing late at night (like I am tonight). (I like to post in time to have wonderful interactions with all of you, through your helpful, joy-producing comments and writerly feedback.)

I do not like when good people lose their jobs because leadership is making chaotic, unjust decisions to purposefully dismantle our democracy. (I like when our democracy is strong and just.)

I do not like when I have to pack for back-to-back trips. (I like when I am smarter about creating a less intense travel schedule.)

I do not like when I skip my 20-minute workout, especially after committing to habit-building in January and February. (I like when I schedule my workout time in my calendar and then get to check the box when it's done!)

I do not like this bone-tired feeling, when it's only Wednesday. (I like that my pillow is ready for me. Good night, Slicers!)

  1. I don't like that you thought of this post before I did.

I don't like that my students, who I'll share this structure with, will probably write better things than I will.

I don't like that now I have to figure out which day I'm going to write this structure for myself!
