Spring, you seem to be
Terribly far away and
I'm worried you're lost.
I received a book
At exactly the right time
To learn something new.
"Once upon a time"
Is great for princesses but
Off base for rock stars.
Checking to see if
It's safe to eat the whole sleeve
Of thin mints... ... ... too late.

Ooooh. I really liked your poetry. My favorite haiku is the first one. I just got in orders of plants for landscaping around my house... Looks like it is going to be a while before they are outside. I'm running out of room in the house.

ReplyDeleteWonderful haiku! I think spring may be lost too, but there are a few blossoms in my part of the country, so I think she's coming, slowly . . . ever so slowly. And the sleeve of Thin Mints, we've all been there!
